Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge fan of Harry Potter. I have read the books and seen the movies several times, visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (many times), been to Leavesden Studios, seen the Cursed Child, and seen the traveling exhibit. I believe that you should surround yourself with things that make you happy- and for me, that is (among other things) Harry Potter-inspired home décor.

I have Harry Potter-inspired décor throughout my home. I prefer décor that is a bit more subtle so I don’t have any Hogwarts crest posters or Hufflepuff banners but I am still surrounded by décor that makes me smile.

Time Turner Clock
This is my newest piece of Harry Potter-inspired home décor. It is part of the Harry Potter line from Pottery Barn Teen. This Time Turner Clock is a beautiful desk clock that rotates on two axes just like a time turner. It also has an hourglass on the reverse side. There are several really nice pieces in this collection that you should check out if you haven’t already. I also like the flying key jewelry hooks, Quidditch hoop jewelry holder, canisters, and the quill hooks.
Vintage travel posters and location posters
The vintage travel posters that I had displayed in my spare room are no longer available on Etsy, but I found some similar ones from other sellers above. The muted color pallet fits much better with my décor than the bright pallet that characterizes most HP-themed merchandise and I love the vintage and artistic feel of the artwork.
Paper flowers made from book pages
I have these flowers in two locations in my home. They are a great gift for avid readers because they are made from book pages and they add lovely texture to a room. I also love that it isn’t immediately apparent that they are pages from a Harry Potter book. These flowers inspired me to pick up random Harry Potter books whenever I see them at thrift stores. Maybe one day I will try to make something out of the pages.
Jar for floo powder
Fans of the series know that you can travel via fireplace if you just have some floo powder. I picked up my ceramic floo powder jar at a renaissance festival and can’t seem to find the vendor online, but Etsy has several sellers who make floo powder jars that would look lovely on a fireplace mantel. I am especially excited because we didn’t have a fireplace in our previous home, but the new house has three fireplaces. Maybe I need to get three floo powder jars? Edit: This particular floo powder jar does not seem to be available anymore. I found some other great options on Etsy from Grim Sweetness and The Corner Curiosities.
Quote prints and art
Several years back I purchased a print to frame for the wall in our guest room. Although that shop is not currently active, there are a number of sellers who make beautiful prints with iconic quotes from Harry Potter. Some of my favorites (pictured above) can be found here and here.
Honeydukes jar

If you visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando, you can venture into the Honeydukes candy store. On my first visit, I purchased a glass jar of sherbet lemons with the Honeydukes logo. I keep the jar filled with sherbet lemons (I get more every time we visit the park) and display it on a shelf. Edit: Unfortunately, these are no longer available on the Universal Studios online store. If you aren’t able to make the trip to Orlando to buy this in person, you can still get Honeydukes-inspired home décor in the form of a coffee mug or candy dish online.
Butterbeer and sorting candles
I have had several butterbeer-inspired scented candles. They usually smell like butterscotch, sugar, and magic. Although I haven’t purchased one, there are also several vendors on Etsy selling candles with hidden colors on the inside. The idea is that you burn the candle to see the color wax to determine your Hogwarts house. I think this idea is so fun!
Hogwarts library books
In addition to decorating with the books themselves, I love the colors and binding of the Hogwarts library collection. These look really cute on your shelf and come in a nice boxed set. I have an earlier edition of this set, but I think the new cover art is beautiful.
